I'm trying to keep it short (&english). But as the title is german, I'll probably have to explain alot about it. The title is adopted from a song of the german band Subway to Sally and would be translated as "The Rose in the Water". It is mainly about this Ophelia theme. There are quite a lot of similiar pictures on DA, but I wanted my own to show off with xD My favourite Ophelia poem is the one of Georg Heym, from which Subway to Sally have taken a few parts of the lyrics. And just because it will be more easier for me to translate the lyrics and not the poem, here are the lyrics (or better: an extract of them) of Subway to Sally's "Die Rose im Wasser":
Im Haar ein Nest von jungen Wasserratten
So treibt ihr schlanker Körper auf der Flut
So bleich und kalt ist sie, daß eine Weide
Viele Blätter auf sie weint in stummer Qual
Und rings umher im Wasser blühen Rosen
Der liebsten die roten
Die weißen den Toten
Am Ufer hockt ein alter Salamander
Und hebt den Drachenkopf ins Sonnenlicht
Er weiß nichts von den Schmerzen einer Jungfrau
Von Grausamkeit und auch von Liebe nichts

In the hair there's a nest of young water rats
Her slim body floats down that river
Since she is so pale and cold a willow cries

He knows nothing about the pain of a virgin
